There is Safety within Biblical Faith

In the area of the defining biblical faith in terms of the power of its novelty and impact in contrast to worldly conventional normalcy…especially as this relates to the challenges of the upcoming end-times…the self-abandoned boldness of Peter and John testifying before the Sanhedrin council in Jerusalem (Acts 4:1-22)…may have been the explanation for their safe release.

Any show of fear or indecisiveness on the part of Peter and John…before this august and intimidating body of politically powerful men…might have proved fatal…leading to them being taken out and stoned to death as did occur some short time later with the martyrdom of Stephen.

The safest place for Peter and John to be in this first confrontation with the religious and political rulers of Israel…was their uncompromising, sold-out boldness for Jesus.

Acts 4:13 records the clearly apparent contrast when the Holy Spirit takes believers upward on the vertical graph-line of absolute goodness and brilliant pure light to proclaim the gospel message of truth in fearless boldness: “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

This is a valuable lesson for all Spirit-born Christians.  Our witness to others should be with simplicity, genuineness, and fearless courage…come what may.  When we have the power and genuine truthfulness of the gospel message of what Jesus has done for us and that He is alive today…this will be noticeably different from worldly conventional normalcy…and will get people’s grudging respect even if they disagree with the message.
